I’m heading out again to Antwerp to the JavaPolis conference. I hear the show is sold-out, so that’s good news.
I’m going to give two presentations. One on Monday evening is a BoF on Agile Development of Distributed Systems, and the second one is during the conference on Wednesday.
In the first session, titled Agile Development of Distributed Systems, I’m going to cover the challenges and the complexities involved in developing scale-out distributed system, and the agile techniques we’ve identified at GigaSpaces, which help make such high-risk, business-critical projects successful. The content of this talk is based on real-world experiences we’ve been capturing in the past couple of years, as we were working with our customers and partners to deploy large-scale applications into successful production. I hope that the audience in my talk can come up with their own experiences and we can actually have a discussion and exchange ideas.
The second session, on Wednesday at 14:00, is called Three
Steps for Turning Your Tier-Based – Spring-App. into Dynamically Scalable
Services. This session is about taking Spring applications, or for that matter any tiered J2EE application, and scaling them to meet very demanding requirements of latency, throughput and data volumes. I begin the presentation by analyzing the architectural challenges and walk through the steps required to identify and remove scalability bottlenecks.
So please join me in these sessions and come say hello at the GigaSpaces booth. We’re giving away some cool t-shirts.
See you there
