Summary: Important steps when upgrading GigaSpaces version 6.0.1 (build 1903) to GigaSpaces 6.0.2 (build 2002).

Overview

GigaSpaces version 6.0.2 includes critical bug fixes and aggregate patches that were released in versions 6.0 and 6.0.1.

The 6.0.2 version can run side by side with the 6.0.1 on the same subnet, after setting different Jini groups.

If you intend to migrate from version 5.2 or 6.0, please refer to the 5.2 to 6.0 Migration section. This page is relevant only if you are upgrading from version 6.0.1 to version 6.0.2.

Upgrading to GigaSpaces Version 6.0.2

To upgrade to GigaSpaces 6.0.2, please perform the following steps:

  1. Unzip the GigaSpaces 6.0.2 installation.
  2. Replace the <GigaSpaces6.0.1>\bin with the <GigaSpaces6.0.2>\bin folder. The 6.0.2 scripts include bug fixes:
    • gs-ui.bat
    • gs-ui.sh
    • gs.bat
    • gs.sh
    • gsInstance.bat
    • gsInstance.sh
    • lookupbrowser.bat
    • lookupbrowser.sh
    • puInstance.bat
    • puInstance.sh
    • setenv.bat
    • setenv.sh
  3. Replace the <GigaSpaces6.0.1>\config\services\services.config file with the <GigaSpaces6.0.2>\config\services\services.config file.
  4. Replace the <GigaSpaces6.0.1>\config\gs.properties file with the <GigaSpaces6.0.2>\config\gs.properties file.
  5. Replace the <GigaSpaces6.0.1>\lib folder with the <GigaSpaces6.0.2>\lib folder.
  6. Replace the <GigaSpaces6.0.1>\cpp folder with the <GigaSpaces6.0.2>\cpp folder, if required.
  7. Replace the <GigaSpaces6.0.1>\dotnet folder with the <GigaSpaces6.0.2>\dotnet folder, if required.
