Summary: Modifies username and password for the container administrator.

Overview

Each space container includes by default an administrator user. Only this user is authorized to modify the security settings (Security Filter) for the spaces running at the container. The default administrator user name and password are set during the installation phase. In order to modify a user name and password for the container administrator (or to create new ones for previous versions of the container configuration file when migrating to new versions of GigaSpaces), use the command line utility "userAdministrator" located at the <GigaSpaces Root>\bin.

Usage: userAdministrator containerName/schemaName -options
 options:
 -h prints help
 -admin configure an administrator account

example: userAdministrator schemaName -admin

The administrator password is maintained in the container configuration file as an encrypted string. In the future, this utility will enable you to manage both container and space security settings (e.g., add/modify/remove space users, create "user defined roles").
You can modify space security settings using the Space Browser tool only after login with the container administrator username and password. All space security settings (users and roles) are saved in an encrypted binary file.
