Summary: The Deployment Descriptor includes the Rio OperationalString DTD, and fully supports OperationalString configurations.

Overview

OperationalString comes from the Rio project. The GigaSpaces Service Grid is built on top of Rio. The Deployment Descriptor includes the Rio OperationalString DTD, and fully supports OperationalString configurations created with Rio. An OperationalString (or opstring) represents a collection of services that when instantiated through the network delivers an application to an enterprise or organization. As a configuration artifact the Deployment Descriptor is synonymous with an OperationalString.
