Summary: GigaSpaces CCF4XAP Quick Tour

Overview

The CCF4XAP comes with several built-in demo applications. You may run these demo applications simply by login into the Cloud Web Console and clicking the relevant Demo button at the Cloud Web Console.

Please follow these steps to run the demo applications. The steps are organized in the recommended execution order:

  • The first step involves Login into the system
  • Next, running a simple demo with no business logic - just a simple Data-Grid on the cloud.
  • Next, running an application that involves a Data-Grid, simple business logic, and a scalable web-application.
  • and finally, a demo that involves a Data-Grid, a database, web application, business logic, and asynchronous persistency.
See Deploying Your Existing Application on the Cloud Webinar that will walk you through the steps you need to perform to deploy a custom web application on the Cloud.

Once you login, you may run the demo applications in different order.

Step 1 - Login into the Cloud Tools - You may Login into the Cloud Tools via a Free Trail Key or via your GigaSpaces Cloud license and Your Amazon account keys.

Step 2 - Data-Grid Demo - Demonstrates a simple clustered space running 2 partitions with one backup for each partition. The benchmark tool is used to populate the IMDG with data and perform different space operations.

Step 3 - Trader Stock Desktop Demo - Demonstrates a stock feed into a partitioned space , a processor and a Java EE web application as the front end. The web application is based on Spring framework MVC module on the server side and ExtJS JavaScript library on the client side. The application code is available on the openspaces Stock Demo project site.

Step 4 - Pet Clinic Demo - The Spring PetClinic application deployed into GigaSpaces. This application demonstrates a standard eCommerce web application using IMDG as the system of record. IMDG initial data is loaded from a MySQL database running on the cloud. IMDG data is persistent into the MySQL database in asynchronous manner. The application code is available on the openspaces Pet Clinic project site.
