In this session, GigaSpaces CTO Nati Shalom and Product Manager Uri Cohen discuss GigaSpaces' plans to offer On Demand Middleware Services for the Enterprise – enabling users to access independent enterprise-grade data grid, messaging or Map/Reduce services by calling a single API, without needing to use the entire GigaSpaces platform. Like the full XAP, the independent services will work exactly the same in any environment – private or public clouds, virtualized operating systems, commodity hardware or specialized high-end systems – with no changes to code or configuration.

Primatics Financial provides a high-performance risk management platform, used primarily for analysis of mortgage portfolios. Primatics uses XAP to power high-speed Monte Carlo computations on financial portfolios for very large volumes of data, with linear scalability as data volumes and number of calculations increase. Primatics also used GigaSpaces XAP to SaaS-enable their platform, which now runs seamlessly on the Amazon EC2 cloud.
