VIPSI - VIP Symposia on Internet Related Research with elements of MIT

The main goal of this conference is to bring together the elite VIP scientists from all over the world, and to provide a forum for exchange of ideas in a number of related fields that interact. Owen Taylor, the Senior Director of Worldwide Technical Communications, will be giving his "No More Hops" presentation. This talk focuses on an architecture utilizing Transparent Partitioning and Colocation. This allows the creation of a "processing unit", a single process that addresses reliability, messaging, and processing without involving network hops within the critical transaction flow of the application.
