Scaling Hibernate

GigaSpaces is frequently used with Hibernate, the O/R mapping tool, in order to enhance performance and scalability of existing applications while providing a powerful persistency solution.

The integration between GigaSpaces and Hibernate comes in two flavors:

A 2nd-level distributed caching solution for existing applications - Replacing the built-in Hibernate 2nd-level cache with GigaSpaces.
An Enterprise Data Grid, based on the GigaSpaces solution, using hibernate for integration with external databases for persistency
