That's why we continuously work to improve our online developer resources, contribute a significant amount of time, talent, and money to a number of open source projects, and incorporate the input and contributions of the developer community in our product planning and development strategies. We also offer a free version of GigaSpaces Community Edition for use in testing, development, and small-scale production environments.
GigaSpaces Community Edition
The GigaSpaces Community Edition enables application developers to use a full, mature implementation of GigaSpaces XAP free of charge, both in development and production environments. While GigaSpaces Community Edition is limited to a single server node, it allows an unlimited number of clients with local caches (Master/Local cache), which makes it ideal for small-scale applications that are not data-intensive.

OpenSpaces.org
OpenSpaces.org is a website dedicated to creating and serving the GigaSpaces community that develops and shares open source software for the OpenSpaces development framework. At OpenSpaces.org you can:
- Download OpenSpaces extensions, plug-ins, applications and examples
- Develop custom OpenSpaces extensions, plug-ins, and application extensions that would be useful for other projects
- Get support for open source projects, the OpenSpaces.org website, and related resources

Mule Project
Mule is the leading open source ESB (Enterprise Service Bus) and integration platform. It is a scalable, highly distributable object broker that can seamlessly handle interactions with services and applications using disparate transport and messaging technologies. GigaSpaces has contributed a plug-in module that integrates JavaSpaces with the Mule POJO-based ESB model.

Hibernate Project
Hibernate is a powerful, high-performance open- source object/relational persistence and query service. Hibernate lets you develop persistent classes following an object-oriented idiom, including association, inheritance, polymorphism, composition, and collections.
The GigaSpaces Hibernate Cache is designed to combine the value of the GigaSpaces distributed cache with Hibernate's O/R mapping capabilities. Hibernate users can gain better performance and scalability without changing a single line of code. GigaSpaces users can benefit from the rich database integration and O/R mapping functionality provided by Hibernate.
